Happy Black Friday!

I couldn't imagine going shopping today. The whordes of crowds, the lines, they are all bad. But the thing that I am most upset about today is that a crowd in NYC at Walmart stampeded an employee to death, many who tried to save him were injured. What has this post-holiday tradition come to?

See the story HERE.

I never thought that it would happen

I was never expecting to see Twilight, what I heard was weird enough. When e called me, I said yes. I had heard about the story, of vampire love. It just didn't sound like something I liked. Let me tell you, the theater probably got sick of me laughing. How could anyone take this seriously? Let me tell you, never again.

I did like the action sequence at the end though. :)

Happy Thanksgiving!

24:Redemption

If you didn't catch it on Sunday, you really missed out. Jack Bauer is at it again in a 2 hour TV movie linking the sixth and seventh seasons. In the movie, Jack is at an African boy's orphanage. In the states, it is inauguration day for a new woman president. In 24, something is always brewing underground. I won't go into too much detail but Jack has been moving around, trying to get away a subpoena ordering him back to the US. Jack ends up in a military coup when rebel groups start taking the boys and put them in their army. It is up to Jack to find help for the boys by taking them to the city nearby and have them flown out of the country.
Although I haven't seen the sixth season yet, I understood what was going on. The plot did feel a bit rushed but I am sure they fixed it with the extended cut now on DVD. The acting wasn't great but it was just as good as the other seasons.24: Redemption showed us a good reality of what has been happening throughout the world. Overall, I would recommend this movie to anyone who has ever liked 24. This movie was a great preview of what Season 7 will offer.

Stupid Warner Brothers

For about a year now I had been waiting for this last weekend. This past weekend, I would have gone to see my favorite witches and wizards going off to Hogwarts in Harry Potter 6. About a month ago, I got the worst news I had heard all year: Harry Potter was moved to July. Don't despair because November 21, 2008 would still have magic though, you liked Twilight. Why Warner Brothers, do you upset many fans for your most popular movies?

In case you haven't seen it, there is a new trailer! This movie is going to be AMAZING!

Viva La Vida

Anna, you told me during the summer that I would be sick of the songs by the time the band came to play. I am letting you know that I haven't. Tonight as I was driving home I turned it on full blast, imagining I was at the concert. I imagined I was watching them ring the bell, play the violin and cello, and sing. As the song ended, I knew that I should have gone, repeating it to relive the memories. Tell me why I didn't go to the Coldplay concert. I am sure that it was AMAZING! Oh how I wish that I could have heard it live, in person. Oh Why? Oh Why? Oh Why?

It's always a "drill."

During second period an announcement came over the intercom about a lockdown "drill." Let me tell you, it was not a "drill". With any drill students will not take it seriously as they were not in any real danger. Soon after lockdown started a policeman came into our class asking to see our class. He stood there with a girl who looked at all of our faces and told him that "he" wasn't here. Why can't the school just say that it is a lockdown. Why do they have to cover it up? We are mature aren't we? Students would have taken it more seriously if they told us what was really going on.
